Online Security Awareness Training
Our online training courses are designed to address the need for baseline security awareness within your organisation. The course content is delivered over the web via an online Learning Management System (LMS). This online learning environment provides users with the flexibility to take courses as their work schedule allows. Furthermore, management will be able to track and report on employee progress through the powerful reporting capabilities included in the LMS.
Course Content
1. General Security Awareness Training – Course Description
This is a four part course that outlines the need for Information Security and how each person contributes to making an organisation more secure. This course covers the following topics:
• An Overview of Information Security – Why it is important? What is an Information Security Policy? An examination of the various roles that support Information Security.
• Confidential Information and how it must be handled.
• How to secure information through physical security, secure system access, managing usernames and passwords, and appropriate system use.
• How to handle security issues, problems and audits. Requirements to comply with security policies.
2. Payment Card Security – Course Description
This course discusses the requirements for securing Payment Card Information based on the requirements of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). It briefly discusses why the PCI-DSS is important, which data must be protected, and the requirements that need to be fulfilled to comply with the PCI-DSS. The course is designed for employees who must comply with or consider the PCI-DSS as part of their group’s work. This course requires between twenty and thirty minutes to complete, and contains two quizzes on included content.
3. Social Engineering – Course Description:
This course discusses Social Engineering – what it is, and how to protect yourself and your company against it.
It is designed for anyone who interacts with customers, or handles confidential information. The course discusses different ways Social Engineers attempt to manipulate people to break the rules, and the media they use – including phone calls, emails, and in-person encounters.
The course presents several scenarios to the participant, highlights the techniques used, and teaches the most appropriate response, including tips on how to resist the techniques of the Social Engineer.
The presentation includes interactive slides, narration, and notes, and a quiz at completion. The online version of this course requires between thirty and forty-five minutes to complete.
